About

‘Uhane Kia can be translated as "deer spirit."

Our rural, small-scale farm began with truckloads of deer dirt, a rich, regenerative, and sustainable soil. Next, we planted a donated basil seedling in the first planter box. Today, we nurture at least seven different garden areas on two sites: a rocky two acres overlooking Molokai's south shore, and a deer-fenced orchard on 21 acres on the west end. Everything grows. We mālama ka ‘Aina (take care of the land), offer thanks, and birds, moths, butterflies, bees, and other pollinators participate. Everything grows. Our dream is to share healthy food with our neighbors and local food banks and pass on seedlings to others as we were gifted.
